It's about the kids

This blog is an attempt to document the lives of my two children, Michael and Laurel. It is their baby book. I hope one day they will read it and know how much they were loved, and that their childhoods were full of joy. I hope these stories are read over and over again, and that when they get together in the future with their families they will laugh about the time Laurel ate three tampons, or about the time Michael pointed to my nipple and said, “Mooooo!”

And of course, I hope they will remember all the sacrifices I made to take care of them. I will try not to use it to incite guilt when they are teenagers and call me names, but there are no guarantees.
